Meet Muhammad Afzal

Muhammad Afzal, MD, HMDC, FCCP, is a skilled and practiced Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Specialist at Pulmonary Medicine Associates. Dr. Afzal provides high quality, personalized care and sees patients at the PMA Sacramento, California office.

Dr. Afzal earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Quaid-I-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. 

He completed internships at Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and Residencies at Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Afzal also completed a postdoctoral scholar/fellowship at the University of California Davis in Davis, California, and joined Pulmonary Medicine Associates (PMA) in 2002.
