About the Physician
Chiraag S. Patel, MD, completed his fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, one of only eight Ivy League institutions. His adult training was done at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, a top 10 hospital, and his pediatric training was done at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the No. 1 ranked children’s hospital in the U.S.
His residency was done at Case Western Reserve University Hospital and his medical school was completed at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. Patel graduated from Jesuit High School and then completed his undergraduate work at the University of California, Davis.
With this unique background at two of our nation’s top hospitals he has treated patients travelling from all over the world including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Africa, and high performing athletes from the NFL, NHL, and MLB.
On a personal note, Dr. Patel grew up in Roseville when it was a town of just 10,000 people before leaving for the East coast where he spent 13 years in school and training. He is married to Dr. Breanna Winder-Patel who also completed her training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and now works at the M.I.N.D. Institute specializing in autism and anxiety disorders. They just recently had their first child, a daughter. Dr. Patel was excited to move back and once again experience the great things that Northern California has to offer. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and discovering new local wineries. Of course, finally being able to watch the 49ers with fellow fans is a very welcome feeling.
