Brett Laurence, M.D.

Brett Laurence, MD, specializes in infectious diseases at Pulmonary Medicine Associates in Sacramento, California. He has a strong background in microbiology and antibiotics, which empowers him to provide world-class evaluations and treatments for his patients. Dr. Laurence attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, for his undergraduate education. He then completed medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before starting his postgraduate training with an internship in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital. He completed his residency and fellowship there and was chief resident during the final year of his residency. 

Dr. Laurence holds several professional titles, including diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty Board of Infectious Diseases. He holds professional memberships in the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Society of Microbiology, and the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. 

When he isn’t managing infectious diseases at Pulmonary Medicine Associates, Dr. Laurence enjoys exploring the outdoors around Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Napa Valley, California. He spends much of his free time with his family, playing basketball, and hunting for unique antiques.
