Meet Ravneet Riar

Ravneet Riar, MD, is a board-certified physician at Pulmonary Medicine Associates. She specializes in pulmonary and sleep medicine and sees adult patients of all ages in Sacramento and Roseville, California.

Dr. Riar graduated from Government Medical College in Amritsar, Punjab, India, with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She moved to the United States for her internship in internal medicine at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Riar completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Midtown Campus, in Baltimore. After her residency, she stayed at the University of Maryland Medical Center for a fellowship in sleep medicine.

Dr. Riar completed her second fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Columbia University’s Harlem Hospital Center in New York City before joining the team at Pulmonary Medicine Associates. She holds board certification in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and sleep medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Riar partners with her patients at Pulmonary Medicine Associates to deliver comprehensive care. She takes the time to understand each person’s unique needs and develops a treatment plan that helps them achieve their best possible health.

Along with her work in the clinic, Dr. Riar is a member of several professional associations, including the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), the American Thoracic Society (ATS), and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
